Denver, Colo.
Aug. 25 / 15.

Hon. Wm. Spry,
Governor of Utah.

We, the undersigned, employees of the Agnes Memorial
Sanitorium hereby appeal to Your Excellency to use your influence in
extending clemency and fair play to one Jos. Hillstrom sentenced to
death in your state on what we believe to be the flimsiest kind of
circumstantial evidence.

No motive has been shown why he should have comitted the murder
of which he has been convicted.

We believe he is the victim of persecution by the great capital-
ists on account of his activity in the organization of workingmen to
secure better conditions and being convinced of his innocence we ask
you to do all in your power to set aside the sentence of death now
in prospect for him.

Respectfully Yours,
