that was not a bad idea, and I commenced
going. I went to all of them the Supt
of the Schools nearly lost his position

in class, "About every hundred years the
Methodist church stops and pulls its creed
up after it." I could not see why
they should want to discharge him if it
were true; and if it were not true and
worth arguing about, they could prove
it; so that cut the Methodist church from
my calling list. But at the Christian
church they said, "We have no creed.
Take the Bible as your guide and follow
it to the best of your ability and you
will not go far wrong." I thought that
was the fairest of any. I neither believed
nor disbelieved. I was just going to
church to find out. They told me I
would feel different when I was
baptized. I did not feel any different at all.
