Dec. 16, 1915.

Mr. N. C. Mann,
Ethelton Hotel,
Seattle, Wash.

Dear Sir:

This letter is in acknowledgment of your
communication of Nov. 21st, conveying your approbation
of my action with relation to the Hillstrom
case. I appreciated very much your expression,
and am deeply impressed with the force and logic
of your statements regarding the enforcement of
the mandates of our courts.

It is a source of gratification to read the
utterances of men, like you, who are behind the
institutions of government and who are willing to
uphold the hands of public officials who are attempting
to administer the laws.

Again thanking you and with my kind personal
regards, I am

Cordially yours,
Governor.
