[indent] Salt Lake City Utah.

Dear Sir:--

Feeling a very deep sympathy for you in undergoing the
task that you have just past, having all the possible pressure brought
to bear by the "I Wont Works" the Scallawags of the earth, and occasion-
ally a good man here and thier, and even the Executive Head of this great
Nation, the later of which would seemingly necessarily make your task more
trying to you.

I thank God that you didi your duty, and in my judgement practically
all the people are with you,

Believeing in holding up a man hands when he is doing his duty over
ever all the obsticals possible to rally.

I desire that you permit me to congratulate you in the work you
have done and that upon which you are undertakeing to do,

Bidding you Gods speed in the work and wishing you a long and happy
and prosperous life,

[center] I am very truly yours
