Save Joe Hill. Whereas: Joe Hill a member of the Working Class has been sentenced to be shot at Salt Lake City, Utah on the flimsiest circumstantial evidence ever produced. And, Whereas: It has been shown conclusively by Judge Hilton the man who argued this case before the Supreme Court, of Utah that the evidence upon which conviction was secured was utterly worthless and that Hill's activity in The Labor Movement prejudiced his cause and was the chief factor in his conviction.

Therefore: We the undersigned believe that Joe Hill is an innocent man and should not be shot by the State of Utah unless conclusive evidence can be produced showing that he is guilty of murder. Govenor of Utah Dear Sir We the undersigned petition to you to intervene in behalf of Joe Hill.

We read that he is sentenced to be shot Oct first.

We believe him to be innocent of what we believe to be a trumped up charge against him. He is a working class hero striving for the wellfare of his fellow workers.

And we believe capitalism has it in for him. We believe they have hunted him down with their hired spys and found him guilty with their paid witnesses

We ask most sincerely that you do all that lays in your power to save Joe Hill. We consider the execution of Joe Hill to be murder pure and simple

Honorable Sir We the undersigned workingmen of this section of Philadelphia, Pa,

Protest in the name of justice against the execution of one Joseph Hill on October 1st __ We consider that the workingman has never had a fair trial _ All the evidence being circumstantial and circumstantial evidence is not a very reliable thing to adhere to.

Remember "Durant" was executed in California some years ago for the murder of two choir girls -- that was [was] year afterwards confessed by the Pastor.

Hoping you will give this case your kind attention and in the name of Justice and Liberty [reprieve] or pardon this man
