Protests against the Execution and/or Conviction of Joe Hill; A: July, Sept. 1914; Aug.-Sept. 1915

Hon. Wm. Spry Governor of Utah Por la perusa he observado el crimen que ese estado pretende cometer cometer ejecutano a Joe Hill por el injustifacado cargo que de asesinato se la hace.

Joe HIll debe ser puesto in libertad si usted no quiere qui sobre ese estado caiga la maldicion de los obreros, de la misma forma que cayo sobre Espana, con motivo de la ejecucion de Francisco Ferrer.

Si Joe Hill es ejecutado usted sera il inmediato respon-

ble, y la vida de ese honesto trabajador, quiza no sea saldada immedistamento, peso de que sera saldada no le quepa la meun duda.

Dear Sir, I have been informed through the Press that Mr Joe Hill now in Prison in Salt Lake City is sentenced to be shot Oct 1st on Circumstantial Evidence. Therefore I as an American Citizen & in the name of Humanity & Justice send out my Protest, urging you to Stop such an outrage & murder. I understand that it is Class Prejudice against him. Surely you are a higher & fairer mined man than to allow Utah's fair name to be stained thus, I beseech you to have the sentence changed to Life Imprisonment & consider Execution to be foul murder & rank injustice.
