Mr. President:

I am instructed to inform your
honorable body that the House has this day
passed Senate Joint Resolution No. 1, by Mrs.
Hayward, being "A JOINT RESOLUTIONRATIFYING AN
AMMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES,
PROPOSED BY THE JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE SENATE
AND HOUSE OF REPRESENATIVES OF THE UNITED STATES,
PROVIDING THAT THE RIGHT OF CITIZENS TO VOTE SHALL
NOT BE DENIED OR ABRIDGED ON ACCOUNT
OF SEX" and the same is herewith returned to your honorable body for your further action.
