Somewhere in France Sunday May 19/18

My dear Helen. Just a line to [lette-crossed out]let you know that everything is O.K. Received your letter of the 11th of April the other day. There wasn't really much in it, but I guess you were pretty busy looking after Mother.

I received a fine letter from Isobel. Such a fine long one. Of course as I never get any letters from any girls anymore when I do get one it seems rather a treat.

most of the people over there forget some fellows over here a good deal. They seem to think that if they write you a letter you have to answer it before they [acknowledge - crossed out] will write you again. At Xmas you see the said girl didn't write me till New Years Time and then only because I sent her a Xmas card. You can see that I certainly appreciate the way you girls write from home

Reg and I were pretty proud of those pictures Darcy sent us as they were so good of him. I hope he is

not neglecting his school for his sports though.

I had such a nice letter from Elsie the other day. That is two since I have been over here. They have moved again and have a far nicer place.

Say Helen will you send Mary a little pair of those gold pins. One of them were lost and Elsie was so proud of them. Just put my card in with them eh? She said that the photos came and that she was sending them on to mother, I guess mother
