Harold at De Grassi Pt. with J.S.H.G (also Mr. Jim Colley) whither they went last Friday Dec. 27th. Gladys with us during John's absence. Carl staying at Ewart's - but coming here for lunch & always in the evenings. The rest of us at home.

I not feeling yet very strong we did not receive. Very few callers. Mr. Laird made his way in while we were at tea - in friendly fashion - on his way to Govt. House. Gladys and I went for short drive in the morning, & afterwards I walked with Dorothy for short time. Stopped at the Brouses' to see motor-engine made by Alfred and Davenport & Alfred came home with me. B.E.W. & Edmund to vote for Mayor & "Power" By-law - against latter which however was carried by large majority. Mild day, no snow, (or almost none except in [unclear] [unclear]). Somewhat dampish. B.E.W., Edmund, Dorothy & Alfred in the evening to 'School for Scandal', which proved satisfactory.
