Dear Sir,
You will please
take with you the Alabama Claims
entrusted to your care & cause
them to be Scheduled at the
State Department in Washington
through your associate Mr. Beaman.
These claims amounting to $327,000
with those previously forwarded by
us amounting to $254,000 more I
propose shall be left or committed
to the attorney [illegible] Messrs.
Beaman Barling & Davis, upon the following private agreement.
I shall expect them to collect
the 12 1/2 per ct commission &
expenses on all these claims, or the
amount that may be recovered
upon them, More or less, but
that they shall pay or cause to
