The following letters were writin the years 1732 & 1733; but omitted to be inserted in the proper places

Rappahanock Aug 27 1732

Sir

The death of our father gives occasion to this joint letter from us as executors of his will. The business of this year not being compleated we have endeavour'd to proceed agreeably to his intentions as far as they could be known. And as many things were disign'd for your management we herein acquaint you with them as early as we can flattering our selves that the friendship you have always expressed towards him will contd. [continued] to us in transacting such affairs as we shall put into your hands.

In a letter to you by Liverpoole you have reciev'd an order from our father to demand his balance from Mr. Hyde & Company as also copys of accounts currt. [current] & accots. [accounts] of sales for several years past to which we begg [beg] you will be referred we found among his papers a draft of a letter of attorney impowering Mr. Randolph to bring sute [suit] in case Mr. Hyde should refuse to comply with that demand. And being charg'd with the payment of many legacies we have thought proper to compleat [complete] this power which we have executed in the presence of Capt. Thom. Dove & two of his men.

The several reports of Mr. Bradly gave at first a great shock to all concern'd with him here which was in some measure remov'd upon the arrival of Capt. Turner & Capt. Barnes but his extraordinary and new found out method of selling tobaco by publick [public] sale will we fear be sufficient to complete ruin if there was before no danger of it, every one seeming in hast to draw money out of his hands and little or no tobaco sent him. We cannot but be sensibly affected with the misfortunes of a person who
