This serves to inform you of the death of our father Robert Carter Esq; and that as his executor you will conclude your self chargable to us for the balance which shall appear to be due to his estate; upon your account current. Be pleased to observe that we have drawn on you since our fathers death, for sixteen pound payable to Mr. Charles Stagg; which we doubt not you will honour in due time. We are,

Gentlemen,
Capt. Kelsick knowing of the death of our father before his departure from this collony [colony]; we need not mention to you anything on that head, only as his executors we desire you will conclude yourselves accountable to us for all ballancies [balances] in favour of his estate. Sometime before his death he drew on you for eleven pounds two shillings payable to Mr Benj. [Benjamin] Grayson, thirty seven pounds thirteen shillings to John Holloway, Esq. & twelve pounds ten shillings to Jo. [John] Holloway, which bills we expect will meet with due honour. We find by some memmorandums of his that he intended to draw on you also for one hundred pounds payable to Wm. Barber; this bill we expect to pay in a short time and desire you may
