Inclosed is a Bill of Lading for Forty Lhds
of Tob.o on Board the Anna Captain Easton weighing
Forty three thousand and Eighty one, which together
with Eight Lhds by Crookshanks, makes the whole
Fifty two thousand four hundred and twenty two,
all which I hope will arrife Safe; as from its appear-
ance when Inspected and reputed good Quallity, thereis
great reason to expect the best Price; you will not
take amiss my Surprise at your method of Insuring
your Corrispondence Tob.o at the rate of Thirty-
Thirty five and Forty Guineas, when other London
Merchants insured their Friends Tob.o by the same
Fleet at Twelve which makes a very Considerable
difference in a large Quantity of Tob.o; I shall
send you more Tob.o by the first opportunity, upon
which I am determined not to Insure one farthing
because I think it Better to run the Resque in a good
Ship of the whole than save half in case of Loss
I shall be much obliged for the Magazines a Box
of Pipes and Tob.o I am Gentlemen
