Webster Treaty [1843] Aug 9. 1842

North of Isle Royale to a point 100 yards N & E of the Chapean, near NW point of I. Royale thence S. Westerly through the middle of the sound between I. Royale and Main land to the mouth of Pigeon R. & up said river through N. & S. Fowl Lakes, to the Lakes of the Height of Land between L. Superior & the L. of the Woods; thence along the water communication to Lake Saisaginaga & through that lake; thence through Cypress Lake, Lac du Bois Blane, Lac la Croix, Little Vermillion Lake, & Lake Namecan, and through the several smaller lakes straits & streams connecting these lakes to Rainy Lake at the Chandiese Falls; thence by old line to NW Point of L. of Woods Lat 49. 23.55 & Long. 95.14.38 thence due south to 49th parallel-thence west to Rocky Mountains. Water Communications & portages open to both parties.

Treaty with Chippewas at La Pointe-Oct. 4. 1842

Beginning at mouth of Chockolate river-north to Territorial boundary west to mouth of St. Louis, including islands, up to trading port 22 miles- south to line of treaty of July 29. 1837.-along said line to Plover portage on the Wis.- thence northwardly by line established Aug. 11-1827 to Eskonawby river of Green Bay- thence northwardly to source of Chockolate-thence down to beginning.
