Professor Joseph Henry,

Dear Sir-

I send the remainder of my meteorological observations, making a full series since August 1859, and hope they will serve useful in the investigations you are making or may here after make.

In regard to my proposed work on the Grasses of U.S., the Commissioner of Patents writes that if a liberal appropriation is made this year he will authorize the proposed arrangement with me. I am much obliged for your agency in the matter and hope it may be carried out.

Yours truly,

I.A. Lapham.
