Dear Sir - Perhaps I am sending material
that will be of no use to you - but you certainly
have a waste paper basket to which it can be
consigned with the exception of anything market
"to be returned."

I send with this a list of titles which is very
nearly complete. The subjects in which father
was most interested were botany, geology
archeology and meteorology. Perhaps his
greatest interest in the latter was the benefit
it would be to all the people if the laws of
storms were better understood - he felt and
knew the great loss of life and property on
the lakes was unnecessary if not criminal.

This year's Arbor Day may have a
sketch of Dr. Lapham - I have asked the
state superintendent to mail a copy to you if
it does

We all agree as to the height - about - 5ft - 4 in-
and we think his think his hat was a 7 1/4 - I am
sending under separate cover two pictures
both marked "to be returned". In the
