I should like to add a few particulars as to the Topol - Geol - ores &c to be found in the state with an analysis of iron ores, [illegible] &c - also the main coal & salt deposits. * will be advisable for you or Mr. Riddle to examine the county of Holmes personally, and has been said to contain ore of lead, amidst the flint rocks, which abound there - I want to ascertain the extent & width of "flint ridge" or the silicious deposit in Ohio, more accurately than is stated in my article "on coal &c." If this plan meets your approbation, please to day so - we can write to each other as often as may be useful & meet if it is thought best before December.
