I did not see this work but I describe for you as it was
described to me by Mr. Nelson Fletcher of Oshkosh who
carried my compass for me & ran most of the lines. The ground
was covered with snow & it was cold or he would have taken the
[measure?] [courses?] etc

If the above will be of any service to you in your forthcoming
work, it will gratify me much
