To the Honorable the Legislature of the State of Wisconsin

The undersigned citizens of the town of Caledonia in the County of Waupaca hereby petition your Honorable Body for the repeal of Chapter 124 of the Private and Local Laws of 1869 and the act which that is an amendment or the amendment thereof by striking therefrom the name of the town of Caledonia - Your Petitioner would respectfully represent that said Law was enacted contrary to the wishes of a majority of the citizens of said town of Caledonia and that most of the names obtained in said town to the Petition for the passage of said Law were obtained under representations that it was for the passage of a law providing for the entire expenditure of the drainage of said town of Caledonia within the limits thereof we Your Petitioners further respectfully represent that two of the Commissioners named in said act drew the drainage fund apportioned to the said town of Caledonia for the years 1868 & 1869 amounting to about nine hundred dollars and have expended all or nearly all of it outside of the limits of said town of Caledonia contrary to
