To the Honourable the Senate and Assembly of the State of Wisconsin

The undersigned respectfully asks of your Honourable Body to consider the prophecy of appropriating from the State Treasury as much money to pay for sending dispatches by Legislature to the different newspaper papers on the Line of the Telegraph throughout the state, as is usually appropriated to pay for news paper letters by members of the Legislature and the postage thereon.

Daily dispatches to such papers as will be [sent?] [thru?] and write them off will furnish every pack of the state or all the [densely?] populated portions, with daily news of the proceedings at the capital, and to all [portions] of the State, a complete Journal of all important benefits.

The people, there[by?], will be immediately [assigned?] of any matter of [illegible] [illegible], or interest to [thence?] passing at the Capitol-

Such dispatches should be brief intended only as [authorize?] of the business of the day or the preceding day

They should be perceived only on a compliance by the [press?] and the Telegraph companies to aid in the understating.

The we designed sincerely believes such an appropriation will result in a [illegible] deal of good to the great body of the people, in sharing a decisive to obtain and head the news papers of our State, thereby creating and fostering a habit of Reading
