Sir,
Private William Parsons of Your Company
came up this morning and reported himself
to me as Absentee from your Company; stating
that he had no intentions of deserting but were under
the influence of Liquor when the Company took
up the Line of March; I took him prisoner
and shall keep him as such until further order
from you.
