been a dealer in hides because he
tried to get mine. When he got through
he sprayed some water on my face and my
part was to grab a towel and do the necessary.

The only way to get some of these
French people to move faster would be
to stop them altogether.

We left the first point at 5pm and
arrived here at 6. Here, means Divisional
School of Training , and am taking a 10 day
course in the Lewis Gun. (repeated - sorry)

The instructors sure do put one through
and it is up to us to give our undivided
attention. If we do this, we will know as
much as taking a longer course over 'ome.

One day this last trip up the line
three of us didn't have much water in our
bottles but had a tin of condensed milk,
so we mixed the two and put in 6 oxo cubes,
made a fire (very small one) and got this mess
boiling. I'm telling you that John D
Rockefeller isn't any richer than that done.

We bought some steaks and have just
finished a nice beef sandwich. Oo la la
