Indian Office
Sarnia. July 26. 1862.

Sir,

The Weslyan Methodist Society
having through the President of the Conference expressed
their willingness to continue the management of the
Mount Elgin Industrial School, I am instructed to
inform you that the Department is desirous to assist
them in carrying out the undertaking, and to request
that your band will continue their support, in order that
it may be ascertained whether by some improvements
in the system and management of the Institution,
more satisfactory results may be obtained than have
been here-to-fore.

You will therefore please have the
subject discussed in Council at your earliest
convenience and let me know the result.

I am Sir,
Your obedient servant
Froom Talfourd
V.S.I.A.
