Inclosed you will find a picture of
two "niggers". Under one is a statement
that Emmet J. Scott is Special Assistant
Secretary to the of War, Newton D. Baker
appointed by yourself to give advice to
the Secretary of War, Baker. Under
the other is a statement that
Robt. R. Moton Pres. of the Tuskagee
Negro School who was carried to the
Peace Conference to represent Alabama
by yourself to advise you on the
treaty of peace.

As we are two staunch Democrats
and always backed you up we
were very much shocked to see
something like this. We notice tho'
that it was painted by the Republican
Committe of Alabama therefore we do
