Guests came by east entrance. left wraps in basement; assem. in east room,.passed through north doors of green room and recvd.on north side of blue room, doors to corridors being closed. All sides present in various rooms, Maj. Rhoads made presenstations of heads of missions and they in turn presented their staff. All passed on through red room to State din.room, where teawas served, Miss Hagner preaiding. After all had been recvd. the Ambassadors were permitted to return and talk with the receiv. party for a few minutes after which all moved to the din.room and partook of tea. The other ladies of the household came donstairs after the reception started and were escorted by aides to join the guests in din. room. There was no music. Asst. Secy.Hale assisted in presenting guests.
