1st Moderate to fresh south east breeze rain sea rough. Bar 30.42. General duties for the day.

2 Fresh south east breeze rain fog misty sea rough. Bar 30.48. Keeper and asst keepers working in there respective quarters.

3 Fresh south east to north west breeze squally rain hail sea rough. Bar 30.30. Keeper and asst keepers sawing and splitting end wood.

4 Moderate northeast wind clear dry frosty sea mod. Bar 30.32. Keeper and 1st asst sawing and splitting cordwood. 2nd asst went to Newport for supplies.

5 Light north east wind clear dry cold sea smooth. Bar 30.32. General duties for the day.

6 Light to fresh south east breeze snow sea rough. Bar 29.90. Keeper and asst keepers sawing and splitting cord wood.

7 South west gale stormy rain sea very rough. Bar 29.76. Keeper and asst keepers working in there respective quarters. Keeper visited quarters of asst keepers & found in good order.

8 Fresh southerly breeze rain sea rough. Bar 29.70. Keeper left station for Newport at 3:00 PM. 1st and 2nd asst working in the shop and quarters.

9 Fresh south west breeze squally rain sea rough. Bar 29.72. 1st and second asst working and painting in there quarters. Keeper returned to station at 9 AM.

10 Westerly rain squalls to fresh southerly breeze sea rough. Bar 29.78. Keeper and asst keepers sawing and splitting cord wood.

11 South west breeze to a gale rain sea rough. Bar 29.56. Keeper working in shop. 1st asst painting his kitchen. 2nd asst working in his quarters.
