forth that you subscribed to 150 shares
of the stock of the Central Pacific Railroad
Company of California. Was that stock
issued to you?

Mr. Sanderson.[underlined] I advise you not to
answer for the reason above stated.

A. Under the advice of counsel I decline
to answer.

Mr. Cohen.[underlined] 16 If such stock namely 150 shares
of the Central Pacific Railroad Company
of California was issued to you will you
state what value or consolidation you
gave to the Central Pacific Railroad
Company of California therefore?

Mr. Sanderson.[underlined] Same objection and same
advice.

A. I decline for that same reason as
before

Mr. Cohen[underlined] Q.17 In the answer made by you in
this case you say you paid for the said
stock to the Central Pacific Railroad Company
of California the sum of $100. in money or its
equivalent in value for each share. Will you
state how much of that if any was in money
and what was the nature of the equivalent
in value that you gave or paid.
