a drawing has to be made & passed by
the authorities, whoever they are. This seems
to me pretty insulting, when you consider
the ugly things which are in use - but
there it is.

There is just one thing darling - I don't
know whether we want the name Massey on
the stone or not. But apart from Lisa,
I would like Barbara & Harry to be
on - that is our three Christian names-
because we were all so much together
& loved each other so much. And will do.

I don't think I can write much more
in this letter. But I will write tomorrow
& tell you all about myself & the life I lead.

I am now reading the Grapes of Wrath -
which is very interesting, but almost too grim
in parts.
