forever up around these parts. I
hould say that there are about 1500
ships in this harbour. Everything from
a landing barge to great Aircraft
carriers. After completing oiling we
slipped and proceeded alongside
water ship and then to anchorage
about 14 miles away. Yanks say
that Saturday night is raid night
here and as it is Saturday we
are all on our toes.

Shifted ship about 0600 this
morning up to the other end of
the harbour. Buzz is that we are
going to be here for a couple of
days. Sunday today so we had
divisions. Rec party landed on
very small island and some
Yanks lashed them up with about
10 tins of beer each. Picture party
invited to show on board. Yank
transport but it rained like hell
and they got wet enough going
over. I was coxswain of the whaler
