21st Richard did not come home last night
Rained very hard in the night, cleared,
off this morning halling wood & Cutting
little growth in new ground ground
hard frozen yet, hail on the ground yet
22nd Cutting in new ground moderate day
I went to old place Keens Vaughans, -
23rd Raining nearly all day Cutting a little
in evening, Hung up meat worked in
shop a little, - very cold rain, -
24 Piled Brush in first part of the day
halled up Stack Oats 1 Load shucks
2 Loads straw to stack & 3 Loads leaves
I went to starkeys to day
25 Cutting & Halling Leaves
26th I went to meeting myself
27 Sent Tommy gone to Mill for Mr Dalton 2 Bus Sent
Rained last night all night
Cutting in new ground to day cloudy
& like for Rain - weather moderate. I went
to Mrs Powers & got my shoes ½ soled &
Sallies sewed up rained a little in evening
& we cleaned Barn shed & fix a little to strip
Tobacco but did Commence
28th Snowing this morning cloudy all day
snow melted as fast it fell clay & Hobson
left Richard this morning or last night
We striped Tobacco to day all day
29. Snowed all night tolerable deep snow
getting wood for Lowry & Mr Dalton this morning
& then to striping Tobacco weather stoped
falling not very Cold this morning
began to snow again in evening striped
Tobacco ½ the day very bad tremendous
sloppy John Powers got Leather to make
me a pair of shoes to day,
