November 24, 1867 - December 4, 1867

covered Bill stable had to get 1 new Rib

– – 26. Sent Sam to Mr Lewis’s to shuck Corn
Hired big Henry & him & Mr Dalton covered
Cutting House, fixed up yard fence
etc Lucy I paid off & she left till next
Monday, then she said she would come back
beautifull weather as ever was seen

27th. Covering weaving House had to rive
some boards & Patched Plow House
made some shelters at Cow Pen

28. Cutting & halling Brush for Cow Pen
& halling brush for to cover Turnip Patch
& waggon & Cart begins to hall rails in
John’s field turning out the Piny field etc
& Halling rails round fence out side to do up

29. Halling rails in Johns’s field for Cross fence
waggon & Cart began to rain about 12 oclock
striped a little Tobacco I went to old place
Rained hard in evening –

30 Turned very windy & cold cleared up in
the & very cold to day halling wood Sam
finished laying worm for fence next to oat stacks
& then began to Cut in new ground, fixed to
Kill some Hogs

Decr 1st Stayed at home all day Very cold
