frequently.

The black light was located in
the same place on top of a knoll
near the forestry rest house.
Collecting was interrupted
by a sudden downpour about
9 P.M., accompanied by a short-
lived strong wind. Temperature
73° F.

STOP 284 - THAILAND: BANGKOK,

These lowland specimens
were collected along the full
length of Sai Paidee Madi,
between Sukhumnidh Road
and Klang Maha Nak.
The district is residential;
the area near the klong, or canal,
is more open, with many
marshy fields and some rice
paddies. Sweeping the grass
in small banana groves around

village houses near the klong
was productive, and collecting
in vacant lots,
away large milkweed, and
other bushes, was fair.
Weather - hot (90° F), humid,
cloudy. No rain.

N. GATE, KHAO-YAI NATIONAL
PARK, 375 METERS, VII-25-62

Khao-Yai National Park
is located on a side road
south several miles from
the Frienship Highway to
Korat. In this southwest
corner of the Korat Plateau
the escarpment is especially
steep and high; from this
scarp the plateau slopes gradually
away to the last. The national
park preserves and excellent
sample of escarpment
vegetation.

These specimens were
collected within a mile radius
