My Dearest Dude

Just to let you know that
I am well and I haven't forgotten
my Sweetheart.

I am mailing you the
Christmas present that I promised
you and ought to reach you
about time.

I am enclosing in the box
a photograph taken in the local
Knights of Columbus hall. Since
it was impossible to forward
the photo in good condition any
other way I thought it best to enclose
it with the box. Will you please
forward same to my mother whose
address is Mrs. J. J. Ashby
3922 So. Broadway or if you are
in L.A. you might take it over
