Letterhead: AMERICAN Y.M.C.A. logo
ON ACTIVE SERVICE
WITH THE
AMERICAN EXPEDITIONARY FORCE

March, 10, 1919
Mayschoss, Germany

My Dearest Sweetheart "Dude,"

If good news, dear, we've
been slated to sail for
home in the early part of next
month. So expect me home
sometime in May.

Mother writes that you call-
-ed the other day and delivered my
picture. I want to thank you
and your brother for your
trouble. Also Mildred dear, you
did a greater service for me by
cheering Mother up by your
winning ways and happy smiles.
Dearest, I'm going to ask you
to do a wonderful service for
me if you will.

Will you, dear girlie, when
ever time permits, call on my
Mother and try to cheer her up?
