My dear old Snedward:

I got two letters from Mother this morning
and was glad to know that the $300.00 I wired you
had been received. I had been bothered about it
as no acknowledgement from you had been received.

You ought to have written us a few lines at once
even if it was only "Three hundred dollars received.
Thanks." Mother told me about your trip to
Riverside to see old Les, and I was very glad to
hear that you both had gone. You certainly had
a bad time with that tire or rather tires on the
way to Riverside, but all is well that ends well
and you must have enjoyed seeing dear old Lesley.

I bet he was good and sore, and so were the rest
of the fellows over being suspended for two weeks.

It seems to me that something should be done
either to demand an investigation, or to hand in
their resignations. I think the former preferable.
That Sergeant will get his some day, and he must
be dearly loved by the squadron.

Apparently you dont yet know where or when
you are going. Rumours here are Siberia, but
I dont see how you are going to get there without
ships, though of course they may be on the way.

I had hoped you would be able to get $750.00
for the car but from all accounts, neither you
nor Mother made any enquiries about whether
it could be sold for that or not, no [nor] do I know
yet whether your Motor Dept overhauled the car
