My dear Edward: –

So there is a prospect of your
really leaving us very soon! I feel sorry
to have to part with you but I shall always
carry the recollection of the numerous automo-
-bile trips, and lovely pic-nics, which were
made possible through your kindness in driving
the car. I know you will be delighted with France
– every one says it is so beautiful. I am writing
