Dearest Edward

It was lovely [underlined] to get your nice
long letter from St. Thomas -
Canada today [underlined], and it did
us all a lot of good to hear
all about all the interesting
events of your trip. We are
so glad to know that you enjoyed
it all so much and that
the "natives" treated you all so
hospitably! – The Watermans say
they have a card from you today
from Niagara Falls or near it –
I wonder if you saw them?
