The last word we had was August 4th
letter from Camp Mills in which
you intimated that you would be leaving
very soon. We have heard nothing
definite since and nothing from
Dick which is strange as he
never has forgotten my birthday
before. Nor have you? We fear
that you are on the water – & have
left the U.S. already, yet this card
from Canada would indicate that
you were still on the this continent, at [underlined]
least when you sent it. It may be
a mistake however as the P. mark
