Dearest Lela: -

Today is Sunday so thought I
had better write while I have time and
let you know I arrived O.K.

When we got in camp Wednesday
morning we were met by a sentry and
informed that we were in quarantine on
account of scarlet fever. Co I is the worst
off, as there are over seventy cases in that
one company alone. I dont think M. Co has
over five or eight although we have one
entire tent under quarantine. It consists
entirely of mexicans. At the time they were
placed under quarantine there were
twelve men in the tent which goes to
show that most of the sickness in
the camps is caused by overcrowding.
