Dear Lela;-

Where do you get that
stuff that I have the measles?
Somebody had an awful
pipe dream or else wanted
something to write about. If
you don't receive a letter
from me for a couple of
weeks you will know that
I have some contagous disease
but I will try and send
word home some way, as we
are not allowed to send letters
out of the quarantine ward. Any
way I am O.K. only for a
cold, which I do not think I
will get over as long as I
remain in this camp.
