Stayed in camp all day.
Took the 10 to 2 watches. Wrote
letters while on watch.
Heavy firing along the front.

Thursday July 26, '17.

Went to the aviation
field with Holmes. Walked
all of both ways. (12 mi)
Only had one meal during
the whole day. Got some
bread and jam on our
return at 11:30 P.M.

Friday July 27, '17.

Got up late. Went to
Fismes with Dick in
Herb's Ford. German
aeroplanes came over
while there. Went through
the church that the Boche
bombed the Sunday night
before. "Some wreck."
