Met Count De Gare
an Italian Count and once
Minister of War. Had a
round of drinks on the
count. The Mayor introduced
us to the Count & invited us
to stay at his hotel. He got
very resonable rates for us
16f. Had dinner at the
terminal then moved our
baggage to The Hotel de l'
Europe, the most fashionable
in the town. Met the
Mayor again and went
around the town with
him. Met the President
of the Tennis Club.
Invited to the Club to
dinner the next night.

my room all day.
