Wednesday August 8, '17.

Left Annecy on the
7:30 train for Chomeaux.
Very beautiful ride
through the mountains
to Chomeaux. Arrived
12:30. Went to the
Hotel des Alpes. Slept
in the afternoon. In the
evening met Fox &
Foster and some girls
and went to a cafe.
Saw Count De' Gare
there. He invited us to
have cocktails with
him the next noon.

Thursday August 9, '17.

Got up late. Had cocktails
with the Count. Rained
all afternoon. Wrote cards.

Friday. August 10, '17.

Had breakfast in my
room. Got reserved seats
for the afternoon train to
Paris. Went up to the
