Herb & I went on six
o'clock convoi with Section
"550." Halled "75's" (specials gas)
shells from Villers Sevoy
to "C3." Shells were falling
thick all around us. We
were in sight of five sausoges
and the Cheman des Dames.
Only one car at a time was
allowed in the park & we had
to have our gas masks slung
over our sholders in rediness
for a gas attack. Herb & I
went 2 kms. farther up the
road after permisshoners
but they had already gone.
Saw some 280 guns
under their screen covers.
We came home alone.
After dinner went down
to the hosbital with mail
for Ben.

Worked around camp all day.
