at 1 a.m., so we hiked
back again. We soon
got a ride for another
ten kms., then walked
four, got another ride,
and then walked four
more kms. to Fismes.
We arrived a Fismes
at 8:30. Pink's feet were
blistered and he said
that he could walk no
farther, and I was all
in. So we decided to
wait until 1:45 for the
train that we could
have gotten near Reims.
The town was all dark
and we had to sit down
along side of a building
and freeze until 1:45, as
