Darling Sweetheart,

I suppose you think I have forgotten all
about you as you have not received any letter from
me for so long. Well dear, the reason is that I am
Some where in France, and I suppose the the mail does
not travel very fast. There are many things I would
like to write to you about, but it is impossible as
all the mail is censored. The subjects that I can write
about are all very limited so darling do not be disappointed
at the letters I send you. There are many things I would
like to write about but now you know the reason why.
We are only allowed to send so many letters a week so do
not be disappointed if you do not receive as many as you
would like. But just the same dear I think of you day
and night. You can realize how I long to be back again
with you in dear old S.F. Many are the times I feel love
sick and weary and wish you were near to cheer me.

I often look back to the days gone by and dream of you
and the times we used to have together. Those days are
still fresh upon my memory and will never be forgotten.
I often lay awake at night and wonder what you might
be doing at that moment and hoping that you were
happy and enjoying your self even if I could not be with
you. Dear I hope you enjoyed the holidays even if I was not
there to enjoy them with you. I sure will make up for the
times I have lost when I get back to dear old S.F.

How are your uncle and aunt? Do you still go out to
visit them as often as you used to? Well tell them I
was asking about them and send my best regards. How
are all the folks down at Redwood City? Tell them I send
my best regards. I suppose you went down to spend the
holidays with them. Gee I wish I had been there. Oh You.
Have you seen or heard from Lillian lately? I often
wonder if she ever hears from Leo and where he may be
at this time. He used to say he would like the trip and
wonder what he will say when he returns. I guess he
will say the same as I do and will be glad when he gets
