Darling Sweetheart,

I received your most welcome
letter of Mar. 19 and certainly was glad
to hear from you. I suppose I receive all
your letters but still they seem to be few
and far between. I am glad to hear that
you enjoyed your trip home to Redwood
City
. I certainly wish I had been with you
to watch the launching of that concrete
boat. I can just about imagine the crowd
that was there to see it and it must have
been a grand sight. I am pleased that
your folks received my card and hope they
will get my letter.

Dear I am glad and happy to hear
that you go to see my mother some times.
I know that you will try and cheer her
up the best you can. You don't know how
down hearted and blue I felt when I heard
my brother had left. I know it will be very
lonesome for my mother but it is some-
thing that can not be helped. I know if I
had my say I would never have left home.
When I read your letter about Martha's
friend I said to my self, Gee I wish I was
in his boots being down there at Came Fre-
mont and so close to home. But you can
