Some where in France
Oct 25, '18.

Dearest Marie,

Just a line to let you know I
am well and feeling fine. We are still
in billets but I guess we will soon be back
at the front. The huns keep us pretty busy
and we do not get much rest. I was looking
for a letter from you to night but was dis-
appointed. I received one from my mother
and cousin Elsie.

Your letters are certainly few and far
between. I do not know how often you
write but I have only received four letters
from you since June 28. Try and write a
little oftener dear as I am always happy
and over joyed to hear from you. A letter from
home is always welcome from over there and
there sure is a rush for the mail bag.

Well dear we have been back from
the front about ten days so I guess we
will soon be called on again to go after
the huns.

We had some excitement last night
in our quiet village. A couple of hun planes
came over and dropped a couple of bombs.
I do not think they did any damage as
they probably dropped in a field. All you
can hear is lights out and some more
nice things they say about the huns.
