time you get this letter.

Well dear to day is Xmas and just
a year since I was sailing across on
the W.S.S. Antigne. I suppose every
one is wondering just now if I am
still among the living. I am well and
trying to enjoy my Xmas in Germany.

We have good quaters with a stove
and table and chairs. The folks where
we are staying gave us a big basket of
apples and nuts last night. The people
treat us pretty good so we have no kick.

I went to church this morning the
first time in a long while. Our Xmas
dinner was good we had pork chops,
mashed potatoes, gravy, apple sauce,
bread and coffee.

I see some of the troops are expected
to arrive in New York by Xmas but we
do not happen to be among them.
The army of occupation will stay over
here for a while so I guess there is no
