Fri MARCH 29. Pretty good day but rather windy for sowing oats but we sowed some oats and alfalfa on the ground where we had oats last year. Lew harrowed in the afternoon. I cut some slips and done some other odd jobs.
MARCH 30. Sat Somewhat cold and quite windy. Lew went to town in the forenoon and harrowed on the oats ground in the afternoon. I cleaned out the ditch near the lake in the forenoon and in the afternoon sowed a little alfalfa seed and got ready and went to see Reas's folks.

Sun MARCH 31. Rather cool again to day but not quite as windy as yesterday. We visited pretty steadily until five O clock then came on towards home but stopped a little while at Mr Andersons.
APRIL 1. Mon Bright and sunshiny and quite warm. Lew finished the oats and alfalfa then got ready to go up to the hills. I worked at moving and digging up rose bushes and sich. This is the first day of April and things are pushing ahead the alfalfa is quite green the wheat is up nicely the pears plums and cherries are pushing ahead and most ready to blossom.
